Oral Presentations

Since QoMEX2020 will be a virtual conference, We have opted for a format where each contributed paper or talk, for both oral and poster presentations, will take the form of a pre-recorded video, available during the original dates of the conference and on-demand after the conference concludes.

Delivery of the video content and your files as outlined below is a requirement for your paper to be published in IEEE Xplore.

All Full Papers

  • You Submit 2 Files - One PowerPoint file which contains your presentation. The second file is your pre-recorded talk on your presentation slides, a video captured in PowerPoint.
  • The pre-recorded presentation video will be 10 mins in duration.
  • Deadline for submission is May 7th.

 

All Short Papers

  • You Submit 2 Files - One PowerPoint file which contains your poster.  The second file is your pre-recorded talk on your poster, a video captured in PowerPoint.
  • The pre-recorded presentation poster will be 4 mins in duration.
  • Deadline for submission is May 7th.

 

 

Video Presentation Format

Submission details:

  • Both your video and presentation file should be uploaded to EDAS.
  • Video's should be MP4 format.
  • Videos should be 720p or higher.
  • Aspect Radio: 16:9
  • On the first slide, it is recommended that authors introduce themselves, their affiliation and the paper title.

NB: As a reminder, videos that are not received by the deadline will be considered no-shows in accordance with the non-presented paper policy.

 

 Poster Creation Tips

  • Format: Posters should be A0 in size and preferably in landscape.
  • Fonts: Use a sans serif font such as Arial or Helvetica in a minimum size of 24 pt.
  • Text size: Text, figures and photographs should be readable.
  • Content: Use short phrases and “bulleted” text throughout the poster; avoid long narrative paragraphs.
